Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a fast and effective tool which can help reduce emotional distress and physical discomfort. It builds motivation and improves your ability to deal with stress more readily.

It has long been recognised that the body and mind are interconnected and that emotional well-being is central to physical health. EFT is a mind-body therapy. It has been described as “like acupuncture but without the needles” as you gently tap on certain parts of the face and body whilst you concentrate on a specific issue.

Difficulties may arise when we use only a particular part of the brain to look at an issue or memory. EFT uses simple methods to allow you to use different parts of the brain to provide a more balanced view.

From your first session, EFT provides you with simple tools to take away and apply to your personal issues. A further advantage of EFT is that although it helps you tune into an emotion, you do not have to relive any painful experiences, as you concentrate on the body just as much as the mind. Following a course of EFT, memories and traumatic events can be recalled without distress or pain.

Results can be long lasting as you let go of unhelpful thoughts and feelings. You will find that your body also has less stress and tension.
